Smith & Nephew, makers of fine surgical instruments, enlisted my services to reproduce a new design of their suture anchor for an upcoming trade show.
The actual implement comes in at about 3/4" - they requested the prop be 24" long. So I dusted off my magnifying glass and came up with a plan to model this extremely complex shape, take a mold from that model and then roto-cast it in plastic for the final product.
